Never Have I Ever

Endless original "never have I ever" statements, all clean enough for any room. Tap your answer and watch your tally.

How to play

The classic way: everyone holds up ten fingers. Read the statement on screen aloud — anyone who has done it puts a finger down (and usually owes the group the story). When someone runs out of fingers, the game ends and they take the crown of Most Interesting Life. One person holds the phone and taps through; the statements are shuffled so you'll see every one before any repeat.

Playing solo or with one friend? Tap 😳 I have or 😇 Never honestly and watch your own tally build — it's a surprisingly funny self-audit. After ten answers, compare scores.

Why it's the perfect icebreaker

Never Have I Ever works because it flips the social pressure: instead of asking someone to perform ("tell us about yourself!"), it lets them simply react — and every finger that goes down comes with a built-in story prompt. The room does the interviewing for you. It's also self-balancing: nobody has to share more than a finger's worth unless they want to tell the tale, which is exactly why it works with new groups, mixed ages, and coworkers.

House rules worth trying

Story tax: a finger down means a one-sentence explanation, no exceptions. Reverse round: the least experienced player after ten statements picks the next game. Team mode: split with the Team Shuffler and count team fingers — first team to twenty down loses. When the group is warmed up, escalate to Truth or Dare, or cool down with Would You Rather.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Never Have I Ever?
Everyone holds up ten fingers (or counts ten points). Read a statement aloud — anyone who HAS done it puts a finger down. First to lose all ten fingers loses (or wins, depending on how you see it). Solo, just tap "I have" or "Never" and watch your own tally.

Are the statements family-friendly?
Yes. Every statement is original and safe for mixed company — embarrassing in the fun way (walking into glass doors, waving at strangers), never inappropriate. You can play it with kids, coworkers, or grandparents.

Do the statements repeat?
They're shuffled so you see every statement once before any repeat. There are dozens in the pool, and the counter tracks how many you've been through.
